If your school is participating in the Merino wether challenge, you should have your mob of Merino wethers on board.
Working with students on the basics of low-stress stocking handling techniques will set your students up for success throughout the Challenge and their life outside school.
Links to a range of resources can be found here to help you guide your students in handling their wethers with care and ease.
For further clarification regarding sheep care and handling during the Challenge, contact your state coordinator.
Working with your students to build a basic understanding of sheep digestion and physiology at this stage of the Challenge will support adequate care over the coming weeks and underpin the understanding required for activities in Week four Sheep nutrition.
A standalone lesson for modelling ruminant digestion is available here.
